Home Remedies for Removing Tan

All that exposure to the sun during vacations and other holidays can lead to the sun tan. This uneven skin tone on your face and legs and hands can be uncomfortable. Here are some home remedies which can help you in removing the stubborn sun tan.

  1. Rose Water and Cucumber Tan Removal:

Grate one medium sized cucumber and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and a few drops of rose water. Apply this on the area which is tanned and clean the area only after 15 minutes. This needs to be done on a daily basis for maximum benefits. The cucumber is a bleaching agent and also a cooling agent. The rose water used in this mixture can remove the blemishes on the skin.

  1. Gram Flour and Turmeric Tan Removal:

Mix 2 tablespoons of gram flour with 1 tablespoon of crushed dry orange peel. You need to also add 1 tablespoon of milk, a few drops of rose water and a pinch of turmeric. This paste needs to be applied on your face and washed off after around 20 minutes. Turmeric not only solves the different skin problems but also helps in getting a glowing skin. The gram flour used is a natural scrubber which promotes the growth of new cells and removes the dead cells.

  1. Milk Powder and Almond Oil Tan Removal:

1 tablespoon of almond oil mixed with 1 tablespoon of milk powder and 1 teaspoon of honey needs to be applied on the area which is tanned. This tan removal mixture is loaded with vitamins due to the presence of almond oil. The presence of milk powder helps in reducing the effects of the tan on the skin.

  1. Tomato and Aloe Vera face Pack:

Mix the pulp of one tomato with 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel. This needs to be applied on the face and washed off only after around 20 minutes. Aloe vera has been used since ages for removing the sun tan. This also helps in soothing the sun burn. Tomatoes used in this mixture helps in the rejuvenation of the skin from deep.

  1. Papaya and Honey for Removing Tan:

Mix the pulp of half a papaya to 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply this pack on the area which is tanned and rinse off only after 30 minutes. The enzymes present in the papaya can exfoliate the skin and also help in restoration of the skin. These enzymes help to get that glow to your skin. The honey used in this pack can not only moisturize your skin but also keep it soft and supple.

To prevent tanning you can limit your exposure to the sun. Keep a watch on the skin tone to get a clear understanding when you need to de-tan. Using natural home remedies is any time a wiser option for removing a tan.
