Tea is one of the most favored beverages, especially in India. Drinking tea has a host of benefits but not many are ware that using tea for skin and hair is beneficial as well.   1. Soothes Blemishes or Sunburn:

Dip a towel into freshly brewed tea and place it on the area which has the sunburn or blemish for around 30 minutes. You can also apply tea bags directly on the affected area. The tannic acid present in tea can get rid of the sunburn on your skin.

For removing the puffiness under your eyes, all you need to do is place two tea bags after wetting them on your eyes for five or ten minutes. For maximum benefit this needs to be done on a regular basis. The blood vessels underneath the skin can shrink due to the caffeine present in tea and the presence of tannins reduces the puffiness.

Tea works well for the cleansing o your face as it is known to have astringent properties. All you need to do is wipe your face with a tea bag and then wipe it with a towel.

  1. Using tea as a Scrubber:

For using tea as a scrub all you need to do is dry a used tea bag. You can then cut this open and use it as a scrub. Ensure you moisturize your face after you have washed it. The antioxidants present in tea gives your face a perfect glow and also keep your skin smooth and soft.

  1. Tea is perfect for Chapped lips:

Applying a green tea bag which is soaked in warm water to your chapped lips can offer the relief you are looking for.  This not only relieves you of the burning sensation but can also hydrate your lips.
